Every home should spark joy

We are firm believers that a home should be a place to live, not a staged Instagram gallery. Happy homes are created slowly over time, by layering items and decorations that reflect the people who live there. Whether it's incorporating bold patterns and pops of color to bring cheer to gloomy days, or designing imaginative spaces for kids to grow and create in, our goal is to help create homes that feel deeply personal and relevant.

The story of Made of Sundays began around 2010 with a set of simple Space Invader stickers and a slightly homesick Alba (having just moved from Spain to Finland) looking to add more fun and colour to her new home.

A few years of endless nights ensued, pondering why homes were subjected to such yawn-worthy adornments. Alba's UX-consultant job? She chucked it. Opting instead to craft a world where homes had personality, alongside Thomas, they pieced together an online shop of their own colorful creations. And just like that, Made of Sundays was more than a day of the week—it was a lifestyle.

Made of Sundays draws its hues and moods straight from Alba's sun-soaked childhood memories in Costa Brava. Think: lazy summer days and Mediterranean sunrises that never rush. Intertwined with this warmth is the stark no-nonsense practical look at life in Scandinavia, creating a cocktail of sunny optimism with a dash of Nordic reality, encouraging creativity and play across all ages.

In the beginning, the world was awash with shiny smelly vinyl stickers borrowing from the infinite wisdom of internet's "152 best life quotes". But we had higher aspirations. It took time (and maybe some tears), but we’ve emerged with products that feel every bit as cozy and genuine as traditional wallpaper. If walls could talk, they’d probably say, "Thanks for the upgrade."
